2 Corinthians 5:20b-21 New International Version
“20b We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
There are days that are simply hijacked by nonsense. Nothing goes right or according to plan. Most of the time, it is due to circumstances beyond our control. Sometimes, it is due to the foolishness of others. All too often, the day swirls down the proverbial tubes because we lose our balance in the midst of the daily grind. We lose sight of the one to whom we belong.
God does not need us. It is we who need him. It is with profound gratitude that we can confirm that God wants us. Scripture is full of that confirmation. Now is the time to take stock. Nobody like to examine their own faults, but it is our faults and weaknesses that separate us from the God who loves us. “Be reconciled to God.” The plan is for us to enjoy that relationship right now. A relationship based on love is there for every human heart in this lifetime, not just the next. Jesus lived and died to win that relationship for us. What are you willing to do for the God that loves you that much?…something to pray about.
